Forza is Hiring for a Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

We seek to hire a Maintenance Technician with experience in a wide range of preventative maintenance and repair skills required in plumbing, HVAC, rough and finish carpentry, electrical and appliances. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing, inspecting, and maintaining all company properties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate, inspect, maintain all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and equipment in assigned facilities to ensure satisfactory operation and to maximize life expectancy of systems and equipment.

• Inspect and Asses building equipment to determine cause of reported issues.

• Self-Perform preventive and repair work orders when able or report that vendor support is required.

• Manage completion of required repairs whether purchasing materials to self-perform or monitoring vendor’s progress.

• Complete property site visits and property walk checklists weekly or as outlined.

• Conducts warranty and/or escalation visits as required.

• Oversee maintenance and repairs, renovations and property operations.

• Ensure that projects are completed according to applicable quality standards, safety standards, building codes, project scope and job specifications. 

• Visits job sites daily to recognize and/or re-direct trade behaviors and find ways to gain efficiencies and more effective installation methods. 

• Supervise subcontractors on site and resolve any issues that arise.

• Coordinate material delivery.

• Monitor weekly schedules ensuring trades are working on schedule.

• Ensure any additional work or material not in scope of work gets approval before work is completed.

• Keep jobsites clean.

• Communicate openly with team members on state of projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Hold valid Universal CFC EPA Certificate.

• Valid Indiana driver's license

• Able to pass a background check and driving record check.

• Minimum 3-5 years commercial experience.

• Ability to inventory and maintain company tools.

• Ability to manage maintenance program for company vehicle.

• Computer experience in Microsoft office and other business software is desirable.

• Self-starter with the ability to work closely with team members.

• Experience in dealing with various trades and sub-contractors.

• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods, climb up to 25 feet, walk on uneven sloped surfaces, reach and balance, lift up to 75 pounds.

• Must be able to travel (drive a company vehicle) to all company-owned properties regularly.
